I wish you a good Ramadan!

Voilà la belle phrase que j'ai formulé à mon pneumologue cette semaine alors qui s'apprête à faire le jeune de 30 jours.

Disons qu'il a trouvé ma formule de politesse assez original!


Et afin d'agrémenter ce début de Ramadan, voici un vidéo sur lequel je suis tombé par hasard. Il s'agit de Mike Ward qui après un séjour en Afghanistan pour y donner quelques spectacles aux Canadien en mission, décide de venir visiter Dubai..... durant le Ramadan!!!

Bon, je n'aime pas particulièrement Mike Ward.... et il aurait probablement du lire le Petit Routard avant de venir ici ... (ça explique en très grande partie les nombreuses arrestations qui devraient sévir dans le mois qui suit). Mais le vidéo m'a quand même fait très rire!!!

Abu Dhabi: Wednesday is the first day of Ramadan, and Tuesday was the last day of Sha’aban, the UAE moon-sighting committee has announced.

The announcement was made on Tuesday following a meeting presided over by Dr. Hadef Jua’an Al Daheri, Minister of Justice.

According to the committee, Wednesday is the first day of Ramadan, and Tuesday was the last day of Sha’aban.

It announced that the crescent of Ramadan was sighted. This followed all astronomical and Sharia methods used for sighting the moon of Ramadan, and contacts with neighbouring countries.

The committee congratulated President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and Their Highness the Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates as well as Crown Princes and Deputy Rulers, on the occasion.

Wednesday is the first day of Ramadan in Jordan, Libya, Indonesia, Malaysia and Saudi Arabia, while Thursday will be the first day of Ramadan in Oman and some other countries.
